Paint it yellow... but which yellow?

Afternoon all,
My car is currently in for a full restoration and respray but I'm still not sure WHICH yellow.

Nothing pastel/pale.
Nothing orange/gold.
Something metallic.

Currently thinking of going for a Triumph bike colour - Scorched Yellow but looking for other suggestions as yellow isn't that common a could these days.

So, what can you come up with...?

id go for a more orangy yellow if it has to be yellow, but to be honest a triumph has to be brg its the best colour

Yeah that Renault pearlescent sort of yellow looks lovely.

That's on the possible list but looks to be the same as the pearlescent yellow TVR used and having seen it up close the yellow is great but where it goes pearl it goes pale and washed out looking.

i like Cupra Yellow

Can't say it's one that's jumped out at me while I've been looking and based on that pic it's quite pale/pastel - not my thing.

How about Inca Yellow.

Simple - it's Inca Yellow at the moment... like 90% of yellow Spitfire's. ^_^



Quite a nice yellow but no clues as to WHAT yellow it is and doesn't look metallic.

Why yellow?

1) I like yellow on a sports car.
2) It's not red (I don't want to drive a cliché ).
3) Can't afford black (body panels have to be too perfect or looks shocking).
4) Already got a dark blue Triumph 2.5PI



I've also been considering...
...a candy yellow, but only ever seen candy red in the flesh (and candy is the finish as much as anything so need to know the base yellow).
...Corvette racing yellow (but more as a homage to the best noise at Le Mans).

Anything but **** yellow like the Fabia VRS comes in.

Broom Yellow like found on the Punto GT is nice. Just make it a deeper looking colour.
