Painting calipers...good/bad idea?

Im thinking red ones would be better than the standard look:

(not the best of pictures but its just to give you an idea how it currently looks)

how difficult would it be? could i do a DIY jobbie? can you buy pre painted ones? car is a 2003 honda civic coupe btw...

I think it looks ok, personally for the cost in time or money would make me not do it as it's only a small cosmetic change.

I personally think it looks stupid unless you have four pot calipers and big brakes. Draws attention to something that is standard and looks like the driver wishes he had brembos.

...few hundred miles on the motorway in bad weather has a tendency to make your car a bit dirty! car is clean right now though thanks

considering detango-ing but only once i find a decent set of projector headlamps to go with them. looks gay at the mo..

if you want to paint them then do it black so they dont stand out
