Painting doors, which paint?

Sand off the existing coat to key the surface, degrease them, apply a coat of white primer, followed by two coats of a good quality oil based undercoat, finish with a good quality gloss paint. And btw, are the doors flush, (ie fully flat) or panneled doors? Either way, a mohair roller can be used to speed things up. Dont use a fluffy radiator roller, especially a new roller sleeve. They cast hairs like a dog even after being washed.

At last, someone with a bit of savvy.:D

Well, i do it for a living, so i kinda know what im on about. Very monotonous job, but it pays the bills.:)

Same here, 30+yrs. Like to stick to the shopfitting side. Off to Berwick later today.
Hope you are keeping busy. Have`nt done anything since Nov., but the bank balance is getting a bit low, needs must.:D

Shame you live so far away I'd come over & do them for you for a few beer tokens.

Here is my Top Tip & ******** to anybody that cannot appreciate the gravity of this Uber Pro Tip.
Get yourself a rad roller a gloss one, **** down the gloss with some white spirit then rad roller your doors laying them off with a Decent 2 inch brush.
When I have done a door using My method you can adjust your Tie in the reflection.
Flat panel doors can be done in a few minutes & others in not much more time once you have the method down.

No sandpaper= rough*** finish.:(
A good sanding, dust off, undercoat, light sanding, dust off and gloss = great finish.
Don`t forget to remove door handles, makes life easier.
If you wish to use a roller, then use a mohair and lay it of with a decent brush
4" roller is best for panel doors. Cheap 7" for flush doors.
