painting speaker true black

Has anyone spray painted top of their center speaker with true black paint? It's the stuff that reflects 99% of light.

Best just to cut out some black felt and adhere it to the top of the speaker with some doubke sided tape etc.

Surely if it's true black then it should absorb 99% of all light, not reflect it?

felt is best , but you might consider going to your local sign shop and getting some matte black vinyl and wrap it
