Paintwork detailing question

I think I am going to treat my car to a stage one intrusive interor cleanse and I'll also perform dirt and debris mitigation on my engine bay area.

A stage one interior cleanse doesn't involve dirt and debris de-contamination in the under-bonnet region you fool, that's a stage two

So why be so pedantic?

I would`nt worry. For a motoring section a lot of the people on here dont understand about proper useage of polish , wax, sealers etc.
the op had a genuine question , you gave a genuine answer , then most replies on here took the pi** .
The OP prob. paid extra to have his car protected by the dealer(however badly it was applied), and wanted to protect his investment .....

Jolly good job I've read this, I was going to wash my car later today, now I've learnt that a maintenance wash is actually what I need to do.

Seriously, who dreams up all these BS terms, is it to make them feel special or something?

Nope its a way of describing something - quite surprised you've not heard of this.

All joking aside, I have heard the term used by detailers for years to differentiate between cleans. I hardly see it as something to make a fuss about, but hey, this is motors, ever has it been thus.
