I think I am going to treat my car to a stage one intrusive interor cleanse and I'll also perform dirt and debris mitigation on my engine bay area.

I would`nt worry. For a motoring section a lot of the people on here dont understand about proper useage of polish , wax, sealers etc.
the op had a genuine question , you gave a genuine answer , then most replies on here took the pi** .
The OP prob. paid extra to have his car protected by the dealer(however badly it was applied), and wanted to protect his investment .....
Jolly good job I've read this, I was going to wash my car later today, now I've learnt that a maintenance wash is actually what I need to do.
