At this point, losing wickets is the worst thing you can do. Yes Afridi can launch a ball hard, but he has to get himself in first, you don't want him wasting, 2/3/4 balls getting in and potentially taking the game away from you.
And a wicket. 17 required off 10. A dot ball and the new batsmen has to get himself in.. This could be Englands game...
