Anyone else seen this in the flesh during Panasonic's round-the-country demos? Saw it in Birmingham yesterday and it's frankly astonishing!

The 65" 1080p is going for £3500 | The 50" 1080p for £1700 | The 42" 1080p for £1200

Instead buy the new Panasonic PT-AX2000 1080p projector for £1995 add a nice screen and laugh your nuts off.
Its getting rave reviews by owners.

Im sure any tv/monitor of that size would look incrdible, but a decent £4k projector would be better imo (even though pj's arent as great for normal tv viewing admittedly)

The new panasonic AX2000 is said to rival projectors of 10k from two years back. Its a big improvement on last years model and is fighting it out with the 3k JVC and even more expensive Sony Pearl models.

Im certainly considering one after Christmas.
Av forums has a lot of interest on the model at the moment.
Currently going for £1995 in some places, mmmm

Now can i fit in a 120" screen?

I've seen a company selling the AE2000 for £1900 recently.
If I had the funds available, it would be top of the list of things to buy. Have to say that I like DLPs a lot, apart from the fact that I am clearly one those who can see rainbows. As such, an LCD like the AE would be spot on.

Well I never bothered posting it at the time, but a few months back while in the Lingotto shopping centre in Turin (it's the old FIAT factory with the test track on the roof) Was looking in the window of a "TV shop"... could have been a Panny shop.... Anyway, in the window was a F'n huge Panny plasma, pretty sure it was around 100" area.....thought it was 103, because I had just read the HiFi World review.
Now I stood there for some time watching it.... and going a bit crazy in the head, because how ever I read the price ticket it kept saying 10,000 Euro !!!..... I must have converted that 50 times in my head to pounds..... I mean my credit card limit is more than that !.................
So it must have been a misprint,.. please tell me it was .... woow what a bargain that would have been......... no don't tell it was a misprint, cause I should have gone in and try to buy it !!! ......oh ******* !

Even close up it looked superb...

maybe it was 100000 euro and you just dropped a zero?:p

You would think that the only logic answer.... hence I stood scratching my head...even got the misses to confirm what I was reading ...LOL .... Of coarse that was a discrete tactic to see if she approved...... "Oh I guess you want one of them now..... would look good in your Italian house" .... Sounds like approval to me :D
