Don't mind admitting I was very very scared filming this. I travel around to a lot of public shows for radio controlled toys...and this is BY FAR the scariest thing I have filmed. Decapitation seemed a real possibility so I just hovered behind the safety fence...but you definitely get a sensation of how darn fast these things are. How the 'pilot' doesn't get dizzy I'll never know.
The slow mo footage at the end really makes it sound like the dreaded German doodlebug flying bomb from WW2 which is no surprise because they were pulse jets as well.
