Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera - possible fault

Hi, hope you all had a good xmas. I got the Panasonic Lumix FS33 camera for christmas. Now the camera itself works fine however there seems to be a problem with the slot you insert the memory card into.

As per instruction manual the memory card is supposed to click into place but this doesn't happen. As this doesn't click into place the memory card is loose and never fits in properly.

The memory card is compatible and has been inserted the correct way in.

Any ideas guys?

are you pushing in far enough as you do need to push it past the level of the slot
you push it in as far as it goes and it clicks and move back about 1mm
to get it out you push it back in till it clicks again and pops out.
have you tried another card? if it does it with another card then the slot is faulty and you need to take the cam back

Hi thanks for the response. Yes I have tried that on multiple occassions. I have already arranged for it to be returned for a replacement.
