Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38

Right, I am no photographer, but I LOVE this camera, we use it at work for taking pics of server racks, network setups ect ect.

I have borrowed it a few times for personal use, it's simply perfect for what I need.

Anyone know where I can get one? Or one of the newer ones fairly cheaply?

not going to be easy finding a new one
but you could get the upgrade of the cam, FZ45 or FZ48
you could try Amazon

I think it's a good camera. Mine doesn't get much use any more as I bought a 500D last year, but I still use the FZ38 for recording HD motorsport movies as it has a nice zoom on it and the videos seem to come out pretty well on YouTube.

I got some pretty good photos on it as well towards the time I bought the 500D. It's a pretty capable camera despite being replaced by its newer versions.
