Is this camera worth £175 (new) or should I be looking at something else for the same budget?

I'd like something with a fairly reasonable zoom (i.e. not 3x) and not too bothered about a high MP count.

This is a quality camera, a very nice point and shoot, and £175 seems a good price for it. An almost 'proper' wide end of 25mm as well. :)

It's basically the TZ7 for people who don't need the high resolution video. My dad has one. I told him to get it. :)

It's a nice camera, have you tried the Canon SX200IS for the same price? 12x zoon 12 megapixels, looks great - slightly different from the standard look.

My missus has the TZ7, and it's a great little camera...and as Mac mentioned, there's not a great deal of difference between the TZ6 & TZ7.

Come to think of it, I remember seeing someone with a brand new TZ6 for sale in the MM (Krooton I think). I'm not sure if he's listed it yet though, but I think he was considering asking £150 for it.

Thanks for the advice.

Wasn't there a 'problem' with the Canon SX200IS where the flash pops up for every shot, even if it wasn't going to be used?
