Does anyone recomend this plasma, a work colleague bought it in hong kong 10 months ago but has not the room to accomadate it, it works at normal uk voltage with the same plug type. The only downside is the warranty is not valid in uk, he is asking for £2200, I already own a pioneer 5090, is the 65"panasonic better, any opinion's, dont know much about Tv's and electric's, any help appreciated

If you own a 5090 then you know enough, as it is the best tv out there [pretty much].

the panasonic will not be better, they can't compete with pios, but i don;t know this model number. Still a 65incher for 2200 doesn't seem bad.

Hopefully others can help out, i need sleep.

The ONLY thing better than the 5090 is the 6090, hope you've got a spare 4k :p

Well I think you will find it is actually the new KRP monitor series with thinner panels and a separate media box, and stunning out of the box settings :p

But yes the 6090 would be amazing, but for me £2.5k -> £4.3k difference was just mad, I could buy the 5090 or a cheaper older 508XD from last year for £1600, then spend the rest on a JVC HD1 1080p projector and an av amp.

We could go on with costs, now where were those IKEA value anamorphic lenes :D

Do you work for that review site, or have seen the sets in question ? ;)

5090 for £1600 where from..I think your looking at least 2k..508xd for £1300

508XD - discontinued and hard to find, used to be £1600.
5080XD - still available at a store in elstree and borehamwood (bought my 5090 from there) including stand and speaker +5yr warranty,
5090 - about £2200 for panel only, but better deals can be had.

WHAT WHAT WHAT, you bargain hunter you...you....you :D

If you need any help geting it setup well just let me know :D

I will proberly take you up on that ;)

i'd wait for the KRP-M personally, out of the box it will rival the 5090 with an ISF and shouldn't cost much more than a 5090 + calibration price ......but can you wait??? :p

Never heard of it.... will do some digging around now...

This model is from hong kong but same uk voltage plug type, 6 months old, but warranty not valid in the uk..Whats the most you'd pay for it if offered to you?
