Panasonic TH42PX70 or Sony KDS-55A2000 decisions, decisions? What do you think is the best to get considering both come with a cabinet at just over 1k? I'll be using the TV mostly for the Xbox 360.

It depends on the room it will be used in. Rear projection sets can be good but only in the right environment.

Do you have a pic of the room and the place where you intend to put the tv?

I have to recommend the Panasonic TH42PX70 its a great TV especially if you can avoid bright sunshine on the screen. Its only problem is its not full HD but it still looks very, very good with movies (both DVD and HD) and xbox 360 and regular TV from the digital tuner.

I think you might be able to get 5 year warranty on Panasonic TV still?

I just bought the Panasonic, fantastic piece of kit, loving it with my PS3 and 360. Can easily use it as my laptop monitor too.
