Parents and your gf

We have a parents and your driving thread in motors so thought id start a parents and your gf thread here :D

So how are your parents towards your gf? My current one only my dad has spoken to while he was down here on business. I think he might be in love with her :eek:

My last one my dad couldnt care less about and my mum decided she was a whore....and she really wasnt she would be wearing a knee lengh skirt and my mum would say how short is that :p

My dad generally doesnt care unless shes a hotty in which case he becomes the welcoming farther in law :p my mum reckons all women are ***** unless they dress like someone out of the stepford wives :rolleyes:

So how are your parents?
 
Mum loves her and asks when shes coming back to stay for awhile :)
My brother and Sister love her too, they love her more then me :(
The women accross the road always asks about her and tells me to bring her over to viset aswell.
And Dad likes her aswell i think, but i dont live with him and hes only met her twice, he told me to hold onto her though :D

And her parents like em i think and we all get long and im aproved of :)
 
Good OP, made me laugh twice so cheers for that.
I keep 'em seperated at all times. The mother is a nutter and my women are usually just as mad. If they get on it scares me and if they don't it's awkward, either way groups of women should be illegal as they are dangerous to mens toys and fun activitys :p
In the past i have left an x missus at home all lovey and happy and come back a few hours later and she hates me. She's had a mate round who is ****** off with her bloke and comes round and starts infecting mine with man hate. Keep them apart i say :p All women at all times should go solo :D
 
Mum wasnt too keen on the last one, but was more than pleasent and welcoming too her, turns out (as per usual) mum was spot on about her. But my current one my Mum loves, my Dads just my Dad he generally keeps his opinion to himself, but he likes her so thats all good.

Her parents love me :cool:
 
i try to keep my parents and any gf's apart. my parents are really old fashioned and i get hassled like mad if im in my room on my own with a gf. even if its obvious were only doing innocent things. with my last gf, she met my parents briefly on one occasion so dont really know what they thought of her. the one before her was scared of my dad (for some reason my friends seem to think he's intimidating, prob because he throws them out of the house when he goes to bed) so she avoided meeting him as much as possible.

my sister said she had the same problems with her boyfriends, so just doesnt have them come round when my parents are there, unless she's really serious about the guy.

Mum usually hates my girlfriends and loves my brother's. Go figure that one out :confused:
 
The old dear is fine to the GF's face but as soon as she's gone she'll find fault and bitch about her. :eek:
Same with every GF I've ever brought home. :(
 
Mine both love my girlfriend, were really upset when we broke up, and ecstatic when we got back together :) 5 years now, they see her as one of the family.

Hers on the other hand aren't too keen on me :p partly her asian background and "no boyfriends til you're 21, then get married", partly breaking up with her which they saw as messing her around...and partly because they think I'm a dirty hippy :D

Hard to say really as my dad plays his cards close to his chest most of the time when it comes to emotional issues. At times she thinks he's a bit stand-offish or maybe doesn't like her but that's just his way.

Now that we've bought a house together he's probably realised that things are quite serious and so includes her a bit more in decisions and treats her like a proper member of the family. I think in light of events last year (her dad dying, and my sister being diagnosed with cancer) we have been brought closer together as a unit even though we see less of each other now that I'm not living at home anymore.

At the end of the day I think he's just pleased for me - it's really not all that important whether your parents like your partner, as long as they get on OK.

Only did that once but it was because he needed a good set-in-stone reason to get rid of the psycho hose beast.

My mum came back from Canada last weekend, and there were more presents in her bag for my boyfriend than for me :(. She went back on Monday, and she's stocking up on Reece's sweets for him now!
