I took these two photos in Paris in the summer. I'm really proud of them.

The second one is fab with the birds in a holding pattern for feeding time - scuzi would be proud of them.

Shame about the people in the background as it detracts from the birds - but short of having 20 people on crowd control there was not a lot you could do !

Nice shots.

I prefer the first one, when he's not looking at you, and as said before try it in B&W think it would really work

Am I the only one feeling cheated by the title ;)

Anyhoo, first one for me, the birds aren't quite as visible in the second and having the guy looking at you loses the candid aspect.

I just said exactly the same.

Nice shots either way, was expecting different from the title name though ;).

Like these a lot, hope you don't mind but I had a quick go at a B&W conversion with some tweaks to further emphasise the birds. 5 minute job so it's a little patchy, but you get the idea:

I prefer the second shot by a country mile, it adds context and I love the way he is looking into the camera. I find it quite thought provoking, not something you often get around here :/

Top marks from me :)

Thanks for all the feedback and apologies for the title! ;)

I'm not sure which I like better, It that he's looking at and i like the two-in-a-row "holding pattern" of the birds on that one. However the people, especially the woman in pink in the background spoils it imo. I also like the energy in the top one.

That was my first shoot with the Sigma 17-70.
