Parking at Wembley Arena

Taking the missus to a show on Sat night and wondering about the parking there. Its says on the website that it cost £18 for daily parking at the site, but then it says you can only park for upto 3 hours before the event. ( Is it daily or just event parking ?? )
Ideally, I would like to park in the morning, go into town and come back at 6pm.
Has anyone got any experience of their parking rules or any advice ?

We parked at Wembley Arena hotel, did stay there but they may allow for just parking too (for a fee).

park at a tube station and tube it to wembley, when coming from the north I use stanmore station.

Taking her to go and see Dancing on Ice, was one of her Xmas pressies. At least i get to see that small blonde canadian skater and a couple of other fit girls in tight lycra.
