Path of Exile(diablo clone)

Played and loved POE2 and will definitely go back to it. Decided to try POE1 at the weekend after this new league came out and so far (server issues aside) I'm loving it. Although I do keep trying to dodge roll out the way of stuff after coming from 2 :D

Not really made much progress this week, only just touching red maps, hardly made any currency so upgrades have been really slow, just need a little bit of luck and I should be able to kit myself out a bit better. Chaos mage skellies at the moment, but plan to do the Doryani version, prices are all over the place though.

The amount of people price fixing this league seems to have gone through the roof too, the number of people I've had to add to ignore lists just to remove them from searches to see the real price of items is crazy. Or people having items listed being days old, only to bump the price up upon pinging them, I have messed with a couple and pinged them over a couple of nights to keep bumping their prices up with intention of actually buying

I am enjoying the new league mechinics and changes but the servers are terrible. Lost so much loot and map progress because of it.
Constant rollbacks does not help either.

Yea, this is really grinding my gears (pun intended) this season. For gods sake, it's a 20c item.

Had a great start, dropped 2 mageblood cards, sold them, farmed up to a mageblood and built a thor mjölner build.
Been great fun.
mercenary been a great addition.

Cheers for the mageblood card heads up (had no idea what it was before seeing your post and a quick google), found a corrupted one last night that id picked up and sold for 25 divine, was able to buy some decent gear for my warrior :D

I took a break away for a week or so but came back enjoying it again, I'm pretty much at an endgame skeleton mages build but I quite fancy switching over to spectres now, the cost of entry for a decent level looks high but the gameplay seems super comfortable.

I've got a nice little farming loop going at the moment:

Giga blight encounters with the blightheart, bloodlines and conversion scarabs - Drops loads of generic currency & maps, if you hit oil chests you get a good chance for multiple silver/gold oils + loads of influenced and synthesis maps.
Once I've run out of scarabs I run the 4 different synthesis maps in order with maven witness - decent rate for cortex map drops, feels like 1 or 2 for every 4 run.
Maven gauntlet with the synthesis bosses - Drops several maven splinters, usually some chisels and the off chance for orbs of conflict or some sort of awakened gem.
Repeat until no more synthesis maps left, then run the cortex maps or sell them in bulk for some divs, I've had a bottled faith and garb from them already which was about 13 divs so it seems like a good risk/reward to running them.
Reinvest in scarabs and go again.

Probably made about 40-50 divs in the last couple of days, which for me is a really good rate.

Think I am gonna try an aurabot and boost the merc for dps.
My current mjölner Thor kills everything and i figure this be a fun build to try and less buttons to click also even though im doing cyclone atm :D .

A bit late to the party but I've been playing RF for the first time this league. Was steadily grinding away at stacked decks and was 90% of the way to a Mageblood when I had a Hinekora's Lock drop :D So that sorted the belt out alongside a well rolled sceptre, a good set of clusters and a bunch of Div left over. Now actually using all my fragments/Valdos etc rather than liquidating so I can have a bit of a gamble whilst I decide whether its worth sinking more divs into this build as upgrades are now extremely expensive.

Just trying to decide which 5th flask to use - anyone with a good pick from the uniques for RF Chieftan? Has anyone used the new Wine of the Prophet flask and is it any good?

poe is a game of currency upgrades
I have 250 divines and a character decked out and need like 5 mirrors if I want to go further
killed everything I wanted, 40/40 done for the first time and I played all leagues since 2012.
been fun

Pretty much done now, a couple more of the challenges to do and I'm 40/40. I've been at mirror level gear for a little while now so currency is nearly irrelevant at this point.

Hope they keep the Mercs around in some capacity, it's been a real solid addition this league. Highlight was hitting a perfect juiced blight map where all the stars aligned, the loot pop crashed my game so bad the machine needed a restart. I then had 5 portals worth of pure T17 and shaper/slayer/elder (lots memory influenced) maps to pick up. There was enough still on the ground for my filter where they stack off screen, showing all items at the end was still enough to disconnect me

40/40 just done, level 100 also - first time for both of those for me. Definitely been lucky with a dropped Hinekora's Lock and then getting a Mageblood map from a Valdos which made gearing a lot smoother. I did get carried through the ubers for final achievement as RF is not well suited to bossing and I'm not the best at dodging mechanics. Probably 6-700D in gear which is vastly more than any other, even Affliction. Now to burn through my saved fragments (already 3/3 on jewels from audience with the king..), double corrupt the Mageblood and see if I can exit with a mirror!

**EDIT** - gamble results were as expected- Mageblood just straight corrupted, manage to gamble up to 4 House of Mirrors (6 is enough div to just buy a mirror at the moment) but then steadily poofed the lot. Oh well, maybe next league!

Looks like a nice upgrade to an existing mechanic with some new gimmicks to try out, offline trade will be awesome as well.

I might go for something like a Death's Oath bomber at the start and see how the minion landscape turns out with the potential to respec later, half tempted to try the new unique helm and link skills and go for the single super headhunter minion.

Only thing with the new minion helm is I think it only drops from the new uber zana bosses, so might have to wait a few days until you get people farming it for the price to drop.

Though it could finally make summon reapers work a bit better!

Nice that some of those graft abilities look super powered, should make blasting through he campaign a breeze again just like it was with the mercs.

I think I've found what I'm going for out the gate, the Chains of Command animate weapon AG, looks pretty decent, relatively cheap entry fee and it's a minion build I've not yet tried. You're probably right on the helm, I suppose it will be the usual thing as well with something new, as soon as somebody gets to test it properly and word gets out if it's good/bad, then the market price will be set for a good while in the league.

I'm wondering how spectres will cost as well this time around given you don't need to re-buy them if they die, it might make the prices really high there until the market becomes saturated with them.

Not something I've played but have watched a few people play it before and it can get absurdly strong with investment!

I've decided I'm going Pizza Sticks! (Flame Blast of Celerity)

Haven't done a totem build in a long long time, easy gearing and excited to try the new grafts out!
