Does anyone have any either of the above ram kits ? I'm looking for a 2gb set that will do close to 850mhz at 4-4-4-12-2T, and so far these are my 2 choices as my budget is £70 inc. Managed to find the Patriot sticks for £65m and OcUK's Team prices has dropped recently to £53+delivery.

Going by what I've read, the Patriot should be fairly capable of those speeds at 2.2v, but I've not come across many people using the Team Elite sticks, even though someone at XtremeSys managed to get a set to 4-4-4-10-2T@466(932mhz) / 2.2v.

Anyone running these kits in their system at around 850mhz / 4-4-4-12-2T ?

HI
Not used it but I hear the chips used on patriot can vary but the good stuff is pretty good (either way you are likely to meet your target easily). The Team elite are excellent value and I have them running in my media centre at 850 but on stock timings.
What are you running? AMD or Intel? If Intel and you have 4 RAM slots then maybe consider 2 of these kits http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-001-TG&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813
That is top quality at a bargain price IMO.

also take a look at these ... 2Gb G.Skill DDR2 PC2-6400 CAS 4-4-3-5 recommended voltage is 2.0-2.1V, they cost around £79

O/C'd on xtremesystems ... 500MHz CAS 4-4-3-5 @ 2.25v : or 520MHz CAS 4-4-3-5 @ 2.35v : or 535MHz CAS 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1v

they use the new Promos chips
.

Thanks for the replys. I'm running an AMD system, cpu around 3ghz with a 533 divider ( roughtly 750mhz for the ram ). Currently running Kingston PC5300 at 4-4-4-12-2T 2.1v, but they won't do 850mhz even with 6-6-6-18-2T 2.2v. Didn't want to go higher due to not having any cooling on the sticks.

Is that the HK series sticks ? Little bit more than I wanted to spend but....

I come across the G.Skill PK series for only £1 more than the Patriot, so that's another option I guess.

Guess it might come down to what colour of heat spreader I prefer if they'll all manage 850mhz@4-4-4-12-2T :)

As you are running AMD the timings are more important so I think I would not consider the Team Elite. Also AMD memory controllers have a dislike of 4 x 512 I believe so sadly the Team Xtreem are not a sensible choice.

I don't see the GSkill HK, but if you would run to £79 you wouldn't go wrong with these.

Hi there

Just get the Ballistix 5300 CAS3 kit, it will clock past 1000MHz with ease and has the best warranty service in the industry. :)
