pavjobs.exe - Panda antivirus = system hogger!

My mum bought Panda Antivirus about 6 weeks ago for the family PC (she didn't ask me whic AV to use, or I would have installed NOD32) and ever since the PC has been seriously slow. Today it was barely working, everything was crashing etc. I looked into the task manager and saw 'Pavjobs.exe' using 99% of my CPU. I looked it up, and it is Panda!
Does anyone know what this stupid file does exactly? I am going to uninstall Panda and install NOD32, what a waiste of money!

Just a warning for everyone, do NOT buy Panda AV - it uses more resources than Norton...

Yeah I ditched it with my old machine, had a habit of just deleting files that had been on the HD for ages and had suddenly taken a dislike to. And it missed trojans all the time.
