Hi all,

Sometime in Jan 2007 ill be switching from Pay Monthly to a PAYG phone, I’m going to be using my old contract phone. I’m currently spending about £40 per month which is getting pathetic as I have other debits to pay. Can anyone recommend a decent Provider and Sim PAYG – Looking at 02 maybe and Vodafone

Only ever used Orange but they have been v bad with signal this past year and as im at work all day I don’t see the point anymore as all I ever do is text and phone on occasion would like to spend about £15 – 20 per month.

So if anyone has some advice and experance with Other providers post here :D

I use O2 PAYG which is perfect for me. Brilliant reception, even on top of mountains in Wales!

I have the Textanytime option, which means for £10 a month topup I get 300 free texts next month, or for £15 a month I get 500 next month.

Also you get the £10/15 you topped up for texts or calls, and then you get the added benefit of the O2 Treats system, which gives you a "treat" every month, for example 25 free texts or free calls to your Voicemail 901 service.

All in all I've never had any complaints with it at all!

For tariff info (Talkalot is the one I use) click here.

Get a vodafone sim card, you can have 500 text a month for £15 and then you can also have STC (stop the clock) and if you spend £2.50 in the week you get free weekend text, if you spend £5 in the week you get free calls and text.

Much better value than the o2 300 text offer imo.

Loads of networks offer free Pay&Go sim cards now where if you top up £10 you get 300txts, free calls and free GPRS. Before I moved to T-Mobile I had an Orange Pay&Go chip that gave me 300 free txts, free evening calls and 1mb of free orange world. Would recommend it. The more you top up the more you get back.
