Paypal problems!

I recently purchased an item off Ebay that was in 'mint condition'. It wasn't so I opened up a paypal dispute, that went to a claim and paypal said send it back to the seller.

Item was sent special delivery and the tracking number checker said the delivery was successful.

Paypal now want to see a copy of my 'proof of postage'.

Why is this? Can they not just look at the tracking number?

Scan the receipt in.
Simples.

Or if you cannot, explain this, and send them the tracking number anyway.

It's no problem, they give you the hoops and providing you jump through them it'll all be OK. I had a similar thing, just send what they want and don't get grumpy with them.

I have already submitted a tracking number though this is the strange thing!

they didnt ask for my proof. i had to send an item back and alli gave them was the tracking number

Is it because maybe the seller is trying to pull a fast one off saying it hasn't been recieved??

Possibly, but you've providing a tracking number so just send them what they want, the receipt will show the tracking number and that's what they're after - They want an official document showing it.
