PC gamer to console, now back to PC!

You must get the Witcher 2, absolutely brilliant game.:)

Shogun 2: Total War is a nice rts if you can master it and the battles look superb in action.

Alan Wake was a nice horror game i played recently which looks very well and was a great port from the console version having nice gfx options.

I thought about them, but I don't play CoD online because they ruin it for others. So didn't want to become that ****. I don't think they should be allowed for MP, SP no problem, play how you want. But MP should be fair. Mouse and KB will ALWAYS kill controller. Fact.

I always thought the opposite until I actually got my mouse settings right, took about 5 weeks though! If there was no aim assist on consoles it would make it a lot better!

My first PC was when Deus Ex came out haha. Then upgraded when the GTX 8800 GTX came out, got 2 of them with the DD blocks on, then was hooked on WC'ing for a couple of years. Then got the 360 after the 8800's became under powered.

I have not seem Skyrim on the Xbox/PS3, but a friend did have Oblivion on the Xbox. Even in 2006 the PC took a massive dump on it from a great height.

Skyrim is meant to be played on PC :). I am currently hooked on it. I play it on my 47 inch LCD with a 360 wired pad and it works very well with a pad.

Yeah, but you have to use a Pad.

I can't say Skyrim was a game made FOR Pc gamers, because it wasn't. When you play it with a mouse and keyboard it is clear it was supposed to be played with a pad. Also, the Kinect support that recently came out is pretty cool.

That said though, any TES game, WILL be better than the console equivalent through the sheer fact of the modding community. They created a new UI which works, they make a better game graphically, and generally speaking they make it the game that it is.

You are right about that. It does feel really clunky on PC to start with. You have to think like you are using a pad, which makes controls a bit awkward. It's annoying that the PC port is just as slow as the pad, they could have made the menus and things much better for the PC port than for the console. I guess they knew we'd buy it anyway!

Does that make much of a difference?

Yes a huge difference, you haven't played much with both I presume as fps just feels so much more natural and fluid with mouse kb over clunky analogue sticks that are relatively slow and not as precise in comparison hence aim assist and so on. I play mw3 on ps3 and pc and difference is massive in my opinion.

No I've not used a pad much, but that is the impression I've had. Do you think the aim assist helps too much?

Yeah I think it does but it really does have to be there due the limitation with the control method. Pad is excellent for racing games and third person games.

+1. The aim assist on games like CoD os ridiculous. I turned off one of the lads aim assist one day and he got so ****ed off with how bad he was doing he didn't play the game for another week! Some of the lads are still trying to tell me joypads are the way to go and I keep laughing at them, although I was like that before I got used to a KB/Mouse.
