PC gamers, meet Caught In Paradise. Caught In Paradise promises to be a first person Role-Playing-Adventure-Simulation Game (with more than one island, hopefully) where the developers hope to implement building shacks, later huts, trading with the natives and dealing with the nature. The team is currently restarting their project, therefore it won’t be released this year. Hopefully though, it will be ready in 2012.
Caught In Paradise is developed by Warlord Interactive, is powered by the Unity engine and you can view two brand new screenshots bellow.

"first person Role-Playing-Adventure-Simulation Game" interesting to say the least

what do you guys think?

Touch a nerve did we? If you had used unity before you would say the same unless your a part of this thing.

Nope, never heard of it, no intention to play it, simply read the thread and felt a need to respond do your post. The article states that they have just started to recreate the project, which one assumes also includes redoing the graphics. Plus there's the matter of the gameplay. If you can create a game which involves constructing buildings, trade with natives (Which implies though doesn't necessarily mean there's going to be AI there to code as well), as well as do all the graphics. And all within the space of 2 minutes? Lets see you do it. Heck, I'll give you 10 minutes to include the time it'll take you to find and read this post.

In all fairness, while the game will take many months to create, those screenshots would probably take 5-10 minutes at most. IMO they should have waited until they had something to show.

Edit: thats not to take away anything from the game or developers, just saying that normally you wouldn't release a screenshot of, well, pretty much nothing (unless you were showing off some seriously impressive graphics, which they obviously weren't).

Yes because using screenshots of game assets and prefabs(sun glare) that come by default in startup projects in unity is always a good sign, right.... of a game someone "hopes" to implement things and yes I could easily do it in 2 mins but I would recommend you check it out first before you talk about things you have no understanding of
