PC MONITOR WONT TURN ON!

Urm I installed a Xilence Xilent Blade.. :S
And the current case is rubbish and I cant do ANYTHING it is soo small and barely fits the mtoherboard in, I also want a new graphics card because I was playing CoD4 with the intergrated GPU and only got 18 FPS.. :/

lOl you remind me of myself 2 years ago when I had a pre-built.

If all you play is CoD 4, then buy a GT 430. Also, was the thermal paste pre-applied, or did you put it on yourself? The past that came with the Xilent Blade was probably conductive, considering how old it is (AM2 old).

LOL ;)
Nope I had to apply the thermal paste myself. I squeezed a pea sized ball of it onto the processor and just fitted the heat sink on top?

That's a ok choice. If you want to spend a bit more money get a GTX 460.

Could you open your case again and tell me what the max wattage for you PSU is? There should just be a sticker on the side of it.

Also, is the processor a Phenom 1050t?

You'll need a 400w power supply for a 5670. If you don't want to upgrade your power supply, you can't get anything faster than a GT440.

I have a feeling the PSU is dead and took the motherboard with it. If you're lucky the CPU and RAM might have survived. Another problem is you need a new Windows install as the Windows installed is locked onto that Acer motherboard. This is going to end up costing quite a bit...

I have a copy of windows 7. And my mum said to put all the original stuff back in so that we can say a specialist had to open it to see what was wrong! Problem! I dont know which way the ram sticks go in!! :O Like if the 2GB is in Slot 1 or 2

Is that a retail cope or OEM copy of Windows 7?

Lets hope they don't notice the ripped warrenty sticker then :p.

RAM sticks tend to go to the slots closest to the CPU.

Yah but I dont know which way. Like if the 1GB is closest to the processor or if the 2GB is closest to the processor.
And yup retail copy :)

It doesn't matter which way round :p.

Let's see what they can do about your PC first, should let you know what to replace.

No, I wanted to say to them, The computer wouldn't show a signal to the monitor so I took it to a computer repair shop and they had to open the case to see what was wrong with it.
