Hi,
i have a weird problem! everytime i shut down the pc it always restart itself. it seems that the only it does shut down is if there is a dvd in the dvd drive and that the drive have been recently active. all other times it jus restarts.

has anyone heard of this problem before? its really starting to annoy me.

Thanks.

i just tried to shut down in safe mode and it shuts down perfectly.
so this most likely to be a software/driver issue?
thing is when this 1st started happening i didnt change anything.

Virus? Spyware? Corrupted driver? Corrupted System file?

All these things can be to blame and dont always require user input to bugger them up :D

thanks for reply siriusB.
after a clean windows install i installed one driver at a time and then shut down windows to see who was the culprit.
after about an hour and a half i found out it was setpoint (logitech software and drivers for my mouse and keyboard).
is there any way that i could fix this?

use the latest drivers or if that does not work use older drivers and if that fails dont install them...
