Hi,

Have the following:

ATI Radeon 4850 Graphics Card (2 DVI connections, and 1 S-Video)
Panasonic TX-P42G10B

Want to connect the Pc to the TV to watch films. I've been told that a DVI to HDMI cable will only show the video, and no sound.

Question is, the graphics card came with a DVI/HDMI adaptor, Can I use this, and then use a HDMI to HDMI cable and get both sound and picture?

Please help!

If your mobo has onboard sound, disable this in the bios. Then you can use the built in 4850 sound through your HDMI cable as well as display :)

Yes you can the dongle that came with your card is designed to do just that and will let u output sound over hdmi

Hi i have connected the TV to the video coard via a HDMI cable. It connects to the 4850 Graphics card via the HDMI/DVI adaptor.

However, the sound is only coming out from my PC speakers? Any way to get it out of the TV ?

If you have disabled the onboard sound you should get sound through the tv no problem. If not mess about with the settings in the ATI control panel and set it I think to digital.
