PC Upgrade advice

PC is the one in my sig. 5 years old and the GPU fried a while ago so been getting along with integrated graphics but reached my limit and time to upgrade. I did pick up a MSI Radeon RX 460 last year but couldn't get it to work (not sure if power supply issue through the motherboard or a PCI-E issue because previous GPU fried) and returned that. Want new CPU & Mobo first so that I have no concerns about any GPU issues being down to those.

£400 max budget for new CPU & Mobo this month. Does need onboard graphics. Overclocking would be nice and no need for SLI capability on the mobo.
Will have similar budget next month for GPU & PSU.

Ryzen 2400g and mobo will cost you a lot less than that. You will need ddr4 ram as well I assume.

Thanks. I've been out the loop and assumed my ram would be good. Checking I will need DDR4 RAM as well.

£340 for this Ryzen 2400G bundle? or any better combination that you'd recommend?

That would do the job but I'm not sure if you would be better off getting eg https://www.overclockers.co.uk/amd-...-team-group-ram-free-240gb-ssd-bu-01f-am.html and a stopgap GPU eg a gtx 1030.
