Holy thread revival 
Bit late but I thought I'd update the thread on what I managed to purchase for my buddy! (didn't need the PSU as his existing one coped fine).
As an addition we also added a graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT) - I believe this added another £15-£20 to the price.

- Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 - £61 (this was lucky as his case was MATX!)
- 4GB DDR3 (OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 Platinum PC3-12800) - £10
- DVD Writer - £12.96
- Hard Drive (Western Digital Caviar SE 320GB - WD3200AAJS) - £20
