What you need is two of these things...

They use your electrical power wiring to allow network data tio be tranferred between devices. Position one next to your router, and run a short Cat5e patch lead between the router and the homeplug. Then, with the remote homeplug plug it in next to your PC, then using another Cat5e patch lead of appropriate length, run it into the network port on the back of your PC.

The connection speed, even with the cheapest 200 Mbps homeplugs, will probably exceed your internet connection speed. Like with wifi connection speed the headline speed of these devices is only theoretical and will be reduced somewhat by the characteristics of your home power wiring.

Total job costs maybe £45-£80 or thereabouts depending on which homeplugs and network patch cables you buy.

For your iphone you could use a USB dongle set up as software based wireless access point (if it is supported), or if you want a more elegant solution grab a cheap wireless switch/access point such as http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-003-TP&groupid=46&catid=1596&subcat= along with another Cat5e cable and place it between the homeplug and PC. Wireless homeplugs are also available such as this..http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-018-OK&groupid=46&catid=1604&subcat=

Edit: Just had a thought...If the telephone wiring has 2 pairs and is of the twisted pair variety (not the flat crap extensions are sometimes made out of) you might be able to use it as a 10/100Mbps Network cable by attaching 8P8C connectors (sometimes known as RJ45) at either end. You'll lose the phone extension but this might be a very cheap option as the connectors are worth pennies each.
