PC5300 vs PC6400

What do you use? I've been looking on Everest, and my CPU is performing lower than an E6700 at 2.6Ghz, and ram seems to be underperforming, bit weird tbh

motherboard?

No I was asking what motherboard you have? lol sorry for being so ambiguous.

Ohh, I have an Asus P5N-E SLi
Crucial Ballistix PC5300 ram (Currently posted for RMA)
E6600 @ 3.2Ghz.
2900XT.

I got PC5400 because of the price - Corsair PC5400 4-4-4-12 for £44inc. Currently running 803mhz 4-3-4-12.

All depends on how much extra you have to pay really. Personally I'd be reluctant to drop more than £10-15 extra on PC6400 compared for PC5300 for a 2gig set.

i think that's probably the same thing i've been looking at hangtime.

I've no intention to overclock anything for a while at least. I have no need to really. So I should think PC5400 would be best for me then?

Also, I'm thinking of getting the e6550 with 1333MHz FSB. WHat is the actual FSB speed? I assume that 1333MHz is the "effective" bus speed, as Huddy's guide puts it. Is it still "quad pumped" so is the actual FSB 333MHz? Therefore it should be matched with PC5400 anyway?
