Hello all,

My Hard Drive died on my PC. I do not have any SATA conectivity on the Mobo, but would like to take advantage of the SATA drives, and i can get large drives quite cheap!

How much performance hit will i take running this through a sata card?

I could upgrade the mobo too, but i think things could get expensive quite quickly.

Cheers

Thanks,

Yes, i was planning to get a TV card and start recording. This doesn't sound like the way to go about it.

Bit of a shame, this is a two year old Sony Vaio, and i was hoping to upgrade the drives, but no SATA. Just stick to IDE drives then?

Cheers
