Afternoon,
Looking to move to AM5/DDR5 world and wondering if getting pci 5.0 is a must
Pricing is still a little mad but wanted to see if its worth it
Currently have RX 6700 XT and was wondering if there are real gains by combining with 7600X on a B650M
Someone with similar setup or able to shed some light onto this?
Greatly appreciated

With a 6700 XT there will be no difference between PCI-E 4 and 5.

Techpowerup have a PCI-E scaling article with a 4090 and it loses very little with PCI-E 3.0, so I'm happy to project that a hypothetical high-end PCI-E 5.0 graphics card will only lose a few % at most in a PCI-E 4.0 board. On the other hand, if you plan to buy midrange or lower-end cards in the future, the difference can, in some circumstances, be more substantial because of their limited lanes (and both AMD and NVIDIA seem to be moving this way).

What resolution do you play at? If the 11400F is power unlimited and you're playing at 1440p I wouldn't bother. If I was going to do the switch, I'd rather have either the 7700 non-X or the 7800X3D (related video).
1080p and seems like it will not change anytime soon as casual gamer
I am looking at MSI PRO B650M-A which can be had for £125 now, seems like a good way to test the waters :D
