PCIE NETWORK CARD

I’ve built a new PC for a friend with the spec:
Intel i5-10400
16GB RAM 3200MHz Corsair LPX DDR4
ASUS TUF B460-PLUS
Hyper 212 Black Edition CPU cooler
Be quiet power 11 400W PSU
Samsung 970 Evo PLUS M.2 250GB
ASUS PCE-AC51 AC750 wireless PCIE card

The build is all good. Had some RAM issues so expecting a new set of RAM from Overclockers. In the meantime, I am having other issues with the network card.

The internet is dropping out randomly and doesn’t connect to the router.

PC is running Windows 10 Pro version 20H2 - latest update

BIOS is on latest update (not any later beta version).
All drivers are updated from the websites. The driver for the network card was downloaded from the ASUS website.

I’ve also checked power settings and made sure that the device isn’t turned off to save power.

It’s connecting to a BT SMART HUB 2. Which unfortunately doesn’t have the option to split the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. But the router had been reset to factory settings also.

I really can’t think of any other issues. Any ideas please?

Would faulty RAM or a faulty PCIE slot cause these issues?

That defeats the wireless purpose!

Could be any number of issues with Wifi - none of which are necessarily related to the Wireless card (could be too far away, house construction, interference, neighbours access points etc)

On the Wireless card's device properties you should be able to specify which band you want it to use e.g.
