PDA, Quad band, wi-fi, camera & GPS

I had the previous version of this, (6515 I think) and it was utter rubbish. The keyboard was too small to be usable and the screen was tiny.

The previous version also came with TomTom but you didn't get the UK maps with it - you only got 1 city map and you had to buy extras. I also found that the GPS receiver in the 6515 wasn't as accurate as the TomTom BT one I already had. It also took longer to get a fix and would drop the signal more easily.

I had it for a couple of weeks then sold it and bought an i-Mate K-Jam which I find much, much better.

Looking at the new one, it seems to be the same chassis as the old one so I'll be avoiding this one.

I don't think it has GPS. It has GPS software but reading hte specs it doesn't seem to have a GPS receiver? That means you'll need to add one via bluetooth. It's also quite large and bulky for using as a phone.

I have an O2 XDA Mini S which is smaller, lighter, free (with contract), seems to have all the same features (albeit with a slower processor) and I've just added GPS to it via bluetooth.

Best phone I've ever bought :)

An o2 xda would be more powerfull, have a bigger screen and cost much less. I have an o2 xda IIi and it only costs £100 on a contract and you can buy them p&g on ebay for about £250-300.

Has more memory, faster cpu, bigger screen, bluetooth, wifi, infrared, gprs, gsm 1.3mp camera.

In comparison hp seem a rip off.

It looks okay, but apart from the GPS Reciver, the XDA EXEC pretty much matches is power for power, and its been out for a while now. Give syou a proper keyboard to. PDA's on their own are dead now. Smartphones are gonna see to that.

But, is this a PDA or a Smartphone? ;)

AFAIK this is the first device that has PDA, phone, wi-fi, camera and GPS functions in a single unit.

There are a lot of other devices (HP hw6515, JasJar, K-Jam, Jamin, Mio A701, Eten G500, Eten M600, Benq-Siemens GXP75 to name a few) available now or soon that only have four out of the five functions mentioned.

Have to say that that thing mings :/

If you're talking about the HP, then I have to agree it doesn't look good - too many buttons.

I like the HTC Trinity though - a nice uncluttered design.
