Any pump above 399 Ltrs Per Hour
Change out liquids every 6 months

*** Do not use Reservoir with pre inbuilt pump. ***

All though every effort has been made to test Mayhem’s Aurora rang of fluids we cannot guarantee that the liquid will work in every system. We have tested a wide range of equipment and found that 95% of it works perfectly well with no adverse effects. However we cannot cater for every single setup out there. Aurora and Aurora + is for users who have a clear understanding of water cooling a pc and its iatrical components.

The difference between using normal plain water and Aurora and Aurora + is about 2c to 3c+ increase in temperature. This is very much dependant on your how your own system is set up.

We have found that Mayhem’s Aurora and Mayhem’s Aurora + has had no adverse effect on plated water blocks however normal wear and tear is still taken into account when using our fluids. If a water block has any damage to it on the plating our fluids may escalate this problem however we have not seen this in our testing.

Mayhem’s Aurora and Mayhem’s Aurora + contain no glycols and are based on environmentally friendly vegetable extract. Our testing range has been from 10c to 85c. We do not recommend using Mayhems Aurora or Mayhem’s Aurora + on systems were the temperature of the liquids may go over 90c.

Mayhem’s Aurora and Aurora + Contain patent pending technology.
Mayhem’s Aurora and Aurora + Do not contain any metal.
Mayhem’s Aurora and Aurora + Do not need biocide’s or Inhibitors.

Mayhems offer no guarantee with our liquids and are used at your own risk.

Mayhem's are now taking pre-orders for Mayhem's Aurora and Mayhem's Aurora + from re-sellers only.

ETA for Mayhems is Nov 2011.

I love the concept but I'm a tad wary of filling my loop with it. I'll wait until its been on general release for a good while and for some real-world users to feed back before I try it.

we only do real world tests, and we use real world testers.

But i fully understand your concern

This stuff looks incredible, will probably try it out when I get my second loop up and running. I saw you don't recommend resovoirs with pre built pumps, would this apply to something like the RP-402X2 - Koolance bay resovoirs as well? Considering how the pumps are mounted into the res.

Great job Mick!

No that should be fine as the Pumps are not submerged into the reservoirs they are just part of the reservoir. I did try and get Koolance to send me one for testing but they couldn't do that.

Its not easy to under stand some times i know. But any reservoirs were the pump is actually fully submersed is not a good idea. the reason for this is the Pearl gets sucked into the vents of the pump and doesn't get pulled back out. What you will see for the first day or so is some excellent effects but then quickly the pearl literally disappears. When you then flush each part of the system you see the pearl coming out of the side of the pumps inside the reservoir.

So under test these pumps are all fine ->

TO BE COMPLETED (its sataday and i could do with a rest pmsl ;) )

To confirm we have had testers confirm our findings with Mayhem's Aurora and we happy to say that at normal running temps Aurora and Aurora + is +2c / +3C above water.

There has been no visible signs of clogging and no visible signs of brake downs.

Aurora as of Monday 12/09/2011 has now moved into production stage.

Thank you goes out to

Gilgamesh and VileLasagna and the two other testers (whom are under NDA, you know who you are )

HK Passed Aurora +, Does not work with Aurora

If you clean your system out it should take about 15 to 20 min of a flush to clean out.

I use the mains systems to flush my system then rinse out with DI water then rinse out with my Ultra Pure H20.

Gilgamesh didn't get his pipes all cleaned at fist and use some flushing liquids to finish it off (cannot remember what he told me he used but ill ask him again tonight.). The other 3 testers reported no problems in flushing.

Aurora + is for blocks like the 370 or Heatkiller were they have restrictive plates.

If you use Aurora on these not Aurora + it may cause problems later on down the line.

Were double checking results on reservoirs as there was a problem reported last night from a tester with a Bay res and a DDC on its side. We will keep you informed.

Im curious. Firstly would putting a few purple led strips inside my case show off the awesome purple fluid at all times (not in daylight or at dark) and when this stuff will be available!

I'm guessing it will cost a wee bit more but heck I'll pay a tenner at least extra for this stuff!

Oh will it also come in pre-mixed solutions? I assume the whole product relies on the right mix of reagents but you never know

Yes the mixture is a pre-mix you cannot add any thing to it else you will upset the balance which has taken 2 years to get right.

Were still testing 1 res atm and awaiting the out come. I'm in need of a 10 watt DDC to complete my tests and i need to copy one of our testers. Once that's done ill do a final official statement and give a full release date.

Personally with this liquid i would go for Clear led lights. they work really well and for the best effect have them pointing towards the res or from behind. UV is pointless with this liquid and detracts from its ability.

The swap out times relay depends on amount of uee if the system is hammered day in day out on a high end pump this time may be reduced to 4 Months. The 6 months test is on a system under normal use on/off 12 hours a day under a 10w DDC. A 18w DDC on 24/7 may reduce the time of the pearl. We cannot give 100% accurate answers to what will work and what will last as there is so many permutations and so many different types of equipment its impossible.

All we really can say is this liquid will not work on all equipment and we will do a full list of what's been tested and what passed and failed. Ill be doing that in the next few days with full info and recommendation on what works under our testing and what doesn't.

There are a few companies who refused us equipment to test and a few that said they would send us equipment and then didn't so we can only work with what we have.

Mainly the Euro companies have been most forth coming and Koolance.

Every one was given different levels of viscosity to test and we settled on a closer to water version. The pearl drops out more quickly when the pump is left off how ever it is picked back up quickly, were as when the liquid is less viscus the pearl doesn't settle as quick how ever has a tendency to stick to ever thing and puts more pressure on the pumps.

The particles nano particles that cause the effect. It works in the same way as car paint. It may use different materials, Mlwood will have to clarify that one though.

Yes it works the same the only difference is car paint uses metal we use some thing different to do the same job.

Mayhem’s Aurora - Official release details - Release date Should be Nov 2011

Mayhem's 'Aurora'' range of liquids are perfect for a myriad of differing computer enthusiasts. The liquid reflects light back in a plethora of swirls and differs greatly from anything currently available. A coolant that is not only striking to view inside a computer system, but it is a fluid that will entice the consumer with it's never ending patterns of light that cascade throughout.

The aforementioned Aurora' range is based on our proprietary blend of refined vegetable extracts, of which are fully biodegradable and have a very low order of oral toxicity. The bottle comes with a Child Safety Cap as well as a spout to enable the consumer can fill all manner of systems easily. This range of coolants is recommended for use in systems where an ‘environmentally friendly’ product is preferred. It also contains non-toxic (GRAS) multi-metal inhibitors, formulated to protect the water cooling equipment and associated systems against corrosion, scale and biological fouling. This prolongs equipment life and thermal efficiency.

All though every effort has been made to produce this liquid there is no guarantee it will work on all systems. Mayhem’s is not responsible if this liquid does not work in the end users system.

Properties & Benefits

* Reservoir’s with Inbuilt Pumps do not work well as the pump vents suck in the pearl and do not release it.

** Single DDC / D5 Reservoir has large opening on right hand side were the water is dead and does not move this causes the pearl to drop out of suspension and lay.

The best type of reservoir is a tube reservoir as the pearl cannot lay any ware and is in constant movement. Bay reservoirs with good flow throughout the reservoir are also recommended. Injection moulded plastics may have a problem however this has not been confirmed.

Before Using Mayhems Aurora +

The system must be clean and have no chemicals of any kind left in the system. There must be no bleach, biocide and anti corrosive inhibitors. We recommend you flush your system with Either DI water or Mayhem’s Ultra Pure H20 Before use. Mayhems Aurora has Biocides and inhibitors included in the Mixture.

DO NOT USE WITH INLINE FILTERS OF ANY TYPE. THESE WILL CAUSE THE SYSTEM TO BLOCK UP.

Release Colours -

Normal Colours

  • Silver Pearl and Clear Liquid
  • Gold Pearl and Clear Liquid
  • Blue Pearl and Clear Liquid
  • Red Pearl and Clear Liquid

Mixed Colours

  • Silver Pearl and Red Liquid
  • Silver Pearl and Blue Liquid
  • Silver, Red, Blue Pearl and Deep Purple Liquid
  • Silver Pearl and Pink Liquid

I have now reduced it down to only 1 Type of Liquid Aurora + has replaced Aurora to stop people buying the wrong product for the wrong block. So it will all be called "Mayhem's Aurora".

I had a word with Paul of XSPC and he thinks that it will easily pass on the new Raystorm block as the channels is the same as other blocks its the Depth that is deeper than others.

+1... if there is bright green :p

I'm thinking of running dual loops in my rig. One blu, one green

To get bright green you will need UV Green dye + Aurora Super Nova. I wont be doing a bright green as a pre-mix, it doesn't look good as silver + Bright Green are to close on the light spectrum.

Make sure you read the instructions on the web sites when it goes live.

Were currently working on a new web site for Nov with full details for Aurora & Pastel range. It has what we tested on and what passed and failed. You will need to read this as some Reservoirs do not have good flow and if you got one that doesn't the liquid will not work.

We will not grantee it will work on all systems....

We have now created a wiki pages for tested equipment so you guys know what we have tested.

We will update the page with new Products we have tested or users have tested so that you will know what works with the fluids.

You can submit new reports of tested products and we will update accordingly.

http://mayhems-aurora.wikispaces.com/

I think this is the first ever water cooling fluid for PCs that has a wiki lol.
