People don't leave feedback on eBay???

Ok, happy ending for m auction!

So the guy contacted me on Wednesday night by phone, 4 days since the auction ended.

It turns out he has been busy with work, I was like in my mind "yeah, but when and where can I pick it up?"

It turns out part of the reason why he called was to explain that there was a small 6mm tear in the mesh of the grill, when his listing states that "he canot find any marks on them and they are in excellent condition"

So he offered me an option:

1- full refund (I didn't really want this as I planned to have these speakers by a certain date for a present)
2- partial refund/money off
3- free mission centre speaker (one that from he same 5.1 system that he broke up to sell)
4- free wharfdale subwoofer

I was more tempted with the sub as the mission 780 is on the small side and it would make a nice 2.1 set up for £100. So I asked him what size is the drive or model number for the sub. He says he'll find out and call me back. Then while I was deciding on the phone, basically hesitating, he then said "I'll throw in the centre speaker too"

At that point I kindly accepted his offer, then he even offered me the mission rear speakers for £20.

I had to decline as I really have no use for the rears, already have enough B&W M1 speakers myself to make a 7.1 system.

All in all, I got 2 pair of speakers, a centre, and a sub, with stands for £106!

Paypal have 3 choices of account - Personal, Premium or Business.
They are all free to upgrade and the difference is that if you choose premium or Business account, there is no limit on how much you can sell on ebay.
Also, if you have a pay pal account you can demand payment as soon as they have added it to their basket.

Ive had a few businesses on here, and it's so much better knowing that the customer has to pay straight away.

Any eBay sale I create I state at the bottom of the advert "feedback will be left upon receipt of feedback from the buyer" so if they don't give me any, they don't get any either. Works for me.

I find this annoying as I pay as soon as I commit and the damn seller waits until I recieve the item and put my feedback. how am I ment to know if you the seller is going to leave feedback???? works both ways -.-

Ok thanks, will do

So the basic gist here is an attitude of 'can't be bothered' by the looks of things.

Because it's really that difficult to type 'Thanks' and click leave feedback.

Wow, just wow.

they should make it so no one gets feedback until both parties have done it.
sick of doing it for the other guy not to do it back

I generally do a load of feedback in bulk every month or so. Anyone that emails me specifically asking I find a bit petty, especially when they email you more than once.

Why Google hasn't setup a auction site to rival ebay is beyond me. They have the presence on the net, they have a payment system, they have more than enough assets.

Then maybe we can go back to an auction site with sensible fees, and sensible policies where the seller doesn't get ripped off whereever possible.
