People who don't know it's their right of way at mini roundabouts.

They entertain me too. I'll approach one, see cars from the other two exits waiting, count to two, then go. Sometimes you see the other person start to move off after I have, then a micro-second later they'll brake.. Like some sort of delayed reaction :D That whole "oh christ what do I do" aura they give off does raise a smile

Sometimes i stop at the round about KNOWING it's my right of way mainly because i don't take chances on some other muppet not knowing right side has priority and just going for it.

Yup, same here. Had the misfortune of experiencing an idiot not knowing the right side has priority and smashing into my car and writing it off whilst he drove straight off!

ouch :( I feel for you.

There's a 3-way mini round about on a t-junction near my work. It's very common for people on the 'main' road not to give way to the minor on the RHS.

This mini roundabout is located at the exit from my street onto the main road :-

It's a big faded / painted white circle. However, the road signs on all sides are clearly indicated. We get people coming from left to right and right to left who are seriously not looking at the mini roundabout as a road hazard ahead and really don't see it at all. The wall on the other side of the road from the house there has had to be rebuilt more than once a year as some drivers have ploughed right through it in an attempt to avoid traffic coming onto the roundabout. Last year, some idiot was driving so fast that he nearly ended up in the dining room of the house over the wall in the picture. And I've had the misfortune to have to attend a road traffic collision during the course of my work at this same point in the road.

Again, it's not rocket science, mini roundabout procedures. It just seems to be that most drivers on the road today seem to have a complete lack of understanding as how they should give way at these hazards on the road. Either that or they are just completely ignorant and selfish.

Americans and 'traffic circles' are always a source of entertainment and anxiety :p

Down south they call them a "rotary" and they don't err on the side of caution like everyone else. They just go. I've had a few close calls, some wayyy too close for comfort. Some of them coupled with a finger out the window from the person who failed to yield.

But hey ho, you can't argue with a redneck :D

What really gets me is when people don't indicate when turning off a roundabout, that makes me FUME.

I prefer it if people didn't indicate than indicate incorrectly. Indicating left too early or keeping a right indication on for too long.

This frustrates me greatly. I'll be approaching a roundabout, see a car coming, not indicating and then pull off the exit just before my entrance, meaning I have stopped or slowed nearly to a stop needlessly and burning more of my previous fuel to accelerate again. Selfish ****ers!

You shouldn't take a cars indication/lack of indication as gospel. Look at what the car is actually doing instead, otherwise you will risk pulling out in front of a car that indicated left too early/changed their mind. If you can't do this in time when approaching a roundabout then you are approaching it too fast.

Quite, but a lot of people are just too lazy and selfish to indicate when leaving a roundabout. This causes congestion.

Actually it's when you went through an impossibly small gap between a car waiting at the r'bt entrance and the kerb, seemingly without even lifting slightly. Fair play for pulling it off, I would have ended up in a fiery ball of death if I tried something that ballsy.

I always tend to have trouble with mini-roundabouts whilst cycling. It seems many cars let me go even if it is their right of way, but I don't know their intention so it's risky. (and yes I do indicate)

the amount if times cars have nearly hit me on a small roundabout near my home is outstanding. They don't seem to realise that if I'm turning right onto the estate from the main road I have right of way. Had one guy stop his car and get out to have a go at me, I just carried on.

What gets me is lane discipline in roundabouts. There's one near me and without fail, the cars turning left will always drift into my lane as they can't be bothered to actually turn the wheel.
