Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Just seen this. Was ruined by product placements , cultural references and the stereotypical black friend with his constant one liners. I liked the concept of the film but was poorly executed.

Yeah i thought these exact same things too.

With such a good cast and what i thought was a good concept it should have been amazing...it wasnt it was just mildly enjoyable.
 
When we were in Cardiff I was determined to go watch Avatar on the IMAX screen but my daughter (8) said that the blue people scared here. The only other film on around the same time was Percy J. My wife said it was OK but what was more amusing was that on a few occasions my daughter hid her eyes and she found it a bit scary.

Should have watched the blue people!

This...watched this the other night and thought the concept of the movie was good but ruined by the stereotypical black guy...who i just wished would have got killed by the Minotaur...Pierce Brosnan i was surprised...i guess life after Bond isnt that great:p

Have to agree with that. The black dude ****ed me off so bad it ruined the film for me.
 
The movies makes no sense..

Spoliers....

At the end of the movie we see that theres about 10 or so GODS sitting around that table.

Yet theres prob about 1000 kids in that special place on earth where all the gods children go. So im guess those 10 Gods were right SLAGS.
