His neighbour sounds like the type of person who watches offensive tv shows just so he can write a letter of complaint about it.

The first £12,760 you earn in a year isn't taxed at all.

The HMRC would be more likely to investigate the old fudder than a 15 year old earning a few quid.......the kid won't even have a NI number yet and unless he is earning more than £8105 a year then the HMRC will simply tell the old fudder to stop wasting their time.
failing that tell him to do one, does he even have a NI number yet? can he legally pay tax under 16?
Personal allowance is £8k.
my mate.... lol... you mean you !
Hardly have the time to go about making fliers and earning lunch money lol.I had a NI number at 15 although I had a job so my have been given it early?
And yes the UK taxable allowance applies to all.
Usually you recieve your NI number at 16 unless you are registered under a PAYE system prior to that.

I don't believe he will have to pay tax unless he is earning more than 12k iirc?

It's the fliers that are probably illegal - they're graffiti. Even if he's only 15 and he needs some money it's unacceptable.
The tax position is fine, he's in no way earning even close to enough to pay tax.

hand delivering spam is now graffiti - you heard it here first!![]()
