Petition for a Vista Forum or Sub Forum?

A plea to the MOD's of these fine boards, with Vista almost apon us, the amount of threads relating to this subject is getting to saturation point. A sub forum at best would help many user I feel in getting more direct answers etc more quickly I think, thats my opinion though.

Feel free add posts if you think its an idea

I say we keep the Windows Vista threads in the Windows forum, as is. And we create a subforum for "& Other Software"

To me, 98% of people at present use XP as a main OS, but Vista in its infancy will probably have a huge take up. Between a lot of users here and generally most New PC's being sold in the next few months will be Vista, Vista specific questions are going to arise very frequently from now onwards, a more specialised forum where people will get answers quicker from people using and advising on it is where I am comming from.

Good idea i suppose but if it won't happen then how about a 'Vista' sticky where all people can go to ask questions and get answers?

Why bother??? So long as you put 'Vista - type problem here' or 'XP - type problem here' or 'Software TItle - problem' or even 'Win95 - type long list of problems here' then you don`t need another forum.

How about post icons that are actually relevant? Instead of a bunch of useless smily faces we could have icons showing which Windows version you're on about.

TBH, it won't be long after the Vista release when most of the questions and answers will be compiled and put in a sticky, so there won't really be that many more Vista threads then normal.

I disagree. I bet there will still be loads of Vista threads Even months after its release. As you know, a lot of people, myself included, don't bother to read the 'Sticky' when we should.

Not going to happen.

Windows section and Vista is windows.

Same logic could be applied to every new CPU released in CPU's.

Just report the reposts and I will close them or merge them, but Vista is not getting its own section.
