But in the end, it's all down to anyone's personal preference but I can't help thinking that your girlfriend would lose out to Sokda's much better driving position, comfortable interior and its superior reliability record over Peugeot's.

Quite possibly, but I can only advise her, it was her choice. In the end she got fed up looking as the right Fabia just wasn't appearing for sale.

ive got a 2000 1.6 GLX and it does me well enough :)

quick enough for me and fairly willing at low revs which makes it easy round town, does drink the fuel when you put yer foot down though :(

the driving position is bad (especially when you're 6'3" :( ) and longer journeys can be a pain, but i dont do many of them and it the engine seems willing enough at 70 on the motorway so that makes up for it

i find it handles perfectly well for a bit of fun in the twistes and ive had people commend on how smooth the ride is so peugeot must have got something right

dont really notice the refinement and ride quality unless im a passenger but when my mum drove it with me as a passenger the other day i was pretty impressed by the smoothness of the engine :)

interior plastics quality isnt fantastic, i agree with you there, but the seats etc seem fine, and it does look good considering the design is aout 9 years old now :D especially in diablo red
