Phanteks PH-TC14PE + Bitfenix Shinobi

Hey guys,

Pete do you have the windowed case? If so is that measurement correct? Really wanted the SB-Extreme but I was thinking of taking THE PLUNGE(see what I did there) and going for a WC loop..Just kinda scared of WC still..

Really want this baby to go with my ROG board and Black and Red colour scheme....hmm hmm hmm..Do I, don't I....hmm

Will measure tomorrow, cross fingers
 
No, I've got the standard case. According to Bitfenix, the window case has 2mm less clearance, but you probably knew that :)
Could just break the window and tell yourself it gives better airflow ;
To be perfectly honest, no-one should trust my measurements unless they're my girlfriend ;) You're best checking yourself (the case that is)

Also, I don't know if you'd even see your mobo under that thing...
How about a black Megahalems with black and red fans?

Go on Pete. Buy the SA SB-E Extreme. If the fans don't fit £20 will buy you some good replacements and I'll buy the TY-143 fan. ;) Like Akasa Apache Black 140mm & 120mm for £20.38

It should do if they're level with the cooler top. Still not 100% on whether the cooler itself will fit though.

Well, A: I dunno if I'd get it in there (SA-extreme), and B: Something's telling me I don't need to go this far. I could just get something like a CNSP10X extreme etc, and save myself 30 plus quid...

I probably will end up with the K2 though.
I wouldn't worry mate, those 143's will be on sale soon enough :)

If you won't get the SB-E Extreme and give me the TY-143 fans the K2 is best cooler for the money.. Don't think you would regret it.

I like oversize coolers because you don't need to wind up the fans to keep thing nice and cool and QUIET... and can OC a bit and still be quiet. :D

I look at these big coolers as an investment. When I upgrade my system I will use it. Same with a good cases and Good PSUs.

Yeah, I feel the same. I'd prefer to get a quality item that I know will serve me well for a good while and provide that 'pride of ownership' kinda thing.

Sexy looks go a long way too :D

Was thinking the black megahalems...but..but I am kinda thinking WC...

OcUK V6 WC Kit then upgrade the 580 with a EK block......Oh god temptation aplenty.....Red liquid to go with the build..hmm hmm hmm

Next pay day...Might be fun...and scary..ahhh water in PC :eek:
 
I say go for WC. It's what you really want to do, and you'll still be thinking about it even if you got a tasty air cooler.

Kinda the same reasons I have for spending more than I need to on a high end unit, when I'd probably be fine with a £30 job...
Oh yeah, and a massive cooler will cover my ugly mobo. Gonna stick three 120mm's on it just to make sure :cool:
