Phe II X2 555 3.2 BE

the option looks like to try either the 455 or the 555, as both are good for the money, and play with it a bit at O/Cing and learn the ropes a bit more as thats what I want to do, i want 4g lol. If the chip unlocks to a tri or quad, brucey bonus, keep it as it would be futureproof for a wee while, if it does not unlock then sell an upgrade again in six months/year or so once I've played with it a bit? I am sure the 455 and 555 will also be able to handle black ops combined with my 4850xxx ??

Go for the dual core. My x2 560 is 3.3Ghz out the box. I run it at 4.1ghz.

Theres a high high chance you can unlock the dual and tri cores into quad core's (think you need a mobo with a 700series noth and southbridge)

This processor I got I had running at 3.9ghz with 4 core's in a friends mobo. So I got a 3.9ghz quad core new for £70.

I think the 555's are 3.2ghz out the box and with as much of a higher chance of unlocking.

I was reading this site the other week that had a list of about 300 people that tried with there specs and whether or not successful, was over 90%, im looking for it now...

Didn't see what mobo you had ^ go with the dual core, thats my friends board I know it has been built no just able to unlock but with a special unlocking feature making the success rate really high.
