I'm wondering if any kind soul out there could offer me some advice on my recent unlocking. As the title suggests I bought a 550BE as part of a built system from OC. I was lucky enough to enable the extra 2 unlocked cores so I went ahead and purchased a Arctic Freezer 7 and 120mm Akasa Apache fan to blow some cold air into the case (Coolermaster Elite 335). I have ran Prime for 4 hours and monitored the temps which went up to 57C only 5C off the max, the cpu idles around 31C. Are these temps safe to continue or should I run it as a dual core just to be safe ?

also check what vcore your chip is running at as a quad, i lowered mine down to 1.35v @3.6ghz so you should be able to get away with a little less hopefully if your at 3.1ghz stock which will drop your temps
