I haven't been that bothered about overclocking my cpu as I find that the speed is quite acceptable at stock but I managed to over clock it a few times to certain levels with different success.
At 3.4GHz I managed to get it stable and temps may have been 1 degree higher than normal.
I then got board and pushed it to 3.8GHz and the system was stable at first. Saying this I've never used prime 95 or anything similar. With my 4890 2Gb (at stock) I was getting 260fps on 1680x1050, whereas I believe I got 300fps with two 4850 1Gb crossfired with cpu stock).
Every now and then it just crashed. I've read on here that someone else had stability issues with 3.8GHz.
I just read a review that someone who specialises in benchmarks for a website could only get it to 3.792GHz with a high multiplier
Has anyone had any success?
