Photo on CV?

This week I have heard two different people say 'oh why would you put a photo on your cv?'

I did way back when I applied for jobs... only because I had had some done for something else and it was a way of using them up. Turns out the job I got I never sent a photo with my application.

I would say there was no need. As the leglislation for not putting DOB's and ages on CVs comes in this month... this is another thing that they should have put on the list.

Im confused, does that mean you do or you dont?

I'm in recruitment, and I would say do it and make it funny! gives us a laugh in the office!

on a serious note, I would say dont, its not that its frowned upon but it doesnt gain you anything and sometimes people think its a bit I dont know how to explain, just dont do it. :D

I'd say yes.

My brother who was a qualified comercial pilot was looking for a new job. Being the perfectionist he is he went to one of these companies (Can't remember the name) who do a one day interview technique course.

Part of the day was getting a professional style studio head and shoulders photo of himself for inclusion in his CV.

When he told me I thought it would look a little silly, but having seen his CV it really does look professional.

Go for it  Just make sure it is a professional style photo.

Awesome
