hi all just wandering if anyone can help, i just scanned an old photo for a friend which needs printing at 24" x 36", now when i enlarge the photo to that size lots of little speckles appear all over the photo, ive tried cleaning the photo and my scanner for dust with no joy, is there a programme that can clean this up at all, any help would be appreciated.

If you scan the photo at a ridiculously high DPI (ie, should achieve the same effect), do you get the same speckles?
