peterattheboro's reference to Aaron Nace's site and blog gave me a thought - we could probably do with a thread with things that we find that we individually find inspirational. This isn't going to be an exercise in critique, merely a reference.

I know that I have periodically struggled with coming up with ideas for the monthly competition and I think that an immediate resource like this could be of use.

I'll kick it off with some stuff that I check out.

http://www.chasejarvis.com/ - This chap is both a stunning photographer and technically brilliant. He goes to great lengths in his blog to be informative about both what he's up to but also how he does stuff.

Chase Jarvis is one of my favourite photographers. I love his work, and from the videos 'behind the scenes' he seems like a really nice guy who (obviously) knows his stuff!

Strobist -This is a blog that has a huge readership. It's based on off camera flash work and aims to make it as easy and clear as possible. Most of the work has video tutorials along with it as well.

It also has a very active related Flickr group that is full of talented individuals. The rules for posting is that you include a description of the lighting setup in the blurb.

I really like Chase Jarvis too, anyone with an iPhone should buy his app too, pretty handy. I do like Clay Enos for his portraits (pretty much only his portraits!), especially black and white.

I'm being entirely truthful here, I use a lot of you on here for inspiration. Your shots are simply amazing!
