Whats the law regarding who i can or cannot photography? Say I was outside and photographing people in the a car driving down the street, is that okay?

what if i take a photo of someone walking out there house?

Also what about if i went to college/work/the pub and took photos there?

Whats the general rule?

I know its illegal to photo money and taking photos of of people in there house through the windows.

the reason i ask is some guy at college has been taking photos of a few of our arses and it's made a few people quite uncomfortable.

LOL

Have you spoken to your college?

Fairly sure it's ok, providing you are over 16 and the photos aren't going to be used for any kind of commercial purpose.

More likely to find people in the know in the photography forum. Someone has a nice PDF somewhere which goes into detail about photographers rights etc.

Ask him for a cut of the profits made on the website he's posted them on. ;)

With permission, maybe. Bit in the context of the OP there must be some laws against it? Stalking? Sexual harrasment?

Pretty sure you only need permission if you plan on using the photo for something, and in that case you need to get a model release form signed.

For general candid photography I don't think you need permission, although it is nice to perhaps ask for it if possible...

lol he probably stuck it on his myspace or something :/

anyway, I'll go in to college tomorrow and start taking picture of him.

It's just our lecture always asks us to get permission when photographing our class mates.

I think he can use it, just think of all the celebrity photos in crappy mags, with celebs in private beaches or on balcony's sunbathing. If they took the photo standing in public property then its fair game.

You might have to ask the owner of the premises! :p

True, but with a P&S, i've never had any problem in anywhere taking photos except in museums and gallerys.

Woah... bunch of 15 year olds at a concert. Who was it?

Narh, actually Creation in Cardiff. Someone half famous from Eastenders came on the VIP bit and everybody was staring at him.
