Didn't realise file sizes were limited to 2GB. I've just exceeded this...

Any tips on what I can do apart from applying layer masks/styles to layers or reducing DPI? I'd like to keep it as editable as possible really...

It's an A1 sheet at 300dpi, 20-25 layers, most of them are a texture across the entire sheet which has been masked out for the bits I want, and then layer styles (drop shadow, inner shadow etc) added.

Any way of increasing the limit?!

I'm using CS4

how does one print a 6gb image ? you sure that printers dont have a limit ? (which could be a reason why photoshop has one)

pure speculation here like

I think they have a limit in a sense, what they can store temporarily, however, data is regularly streamed to printers, so I would expect it'd just take longer to print than it not printing at all.

Also, are you using 32bit or 64bit?

Why?
You can get away with 150dpi at that size of sheet

I can't;) It's a mix of lines imported from CAD and then textured over the top, anything less than 300 and the lines go a bit fuzzy. I'm a perfectionist:P

I hope it'll be a flattend TIF before a printer gets it ;)
Yup:)

Why 300 dpi, theres no difference between that and 200 dpi?

And maybe flatten some layers?

See above. There is.

Diggsy: Cheers, that's helpful.

This is what I've been colouring in if anyone is interested:D

Can anyone guess where it is? It's in Portsmouth...
